1. Many OAHI member inspectors have experience in engineering or construction. All OAHI members are trained and certified to spot potential problems before they become major problems.
2. The OAHI member inspectors do not sell homes but protect you. Conflict of Interest and Professional Practice Guidelines must be adhered to by members of OAHI.
3. Home inspectors inspect homes using their technical skills and not their hearts to see potential red flags and deficiencies.
4. OAHI member’s home inspectors must obtain continuing education units (CEUs) and keep their training current in various areas, such as electrical, the Ontario Building Code and plumbing. They also need to be updated regularly with new technologies and tools. They are certified.
5. The Registered home inspector in woodstock on (RHI) designation is not available for purchase. It is earned.
6. The OAHI Standards of Practice must be adhered to by members of the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors
