TikTok: How to stop getting cameltoe: A woman’s trick for fighting cameltoe
What do leggings, cycling shorts, and other form-fitting trousers have in common? The ability to show off the best body parts by revealing the most private areas.
It happens to all of us. We do our activewear only to find out from a friend, flatmate or partner that we have fallen prey to cameltoe. Sometimes called the ‘front wedgie.
The phenomenon is often referred to as the “camel toe” in the 1990s due to its visual similarity to the two toes on a camel’s feet. It can be embarrassing and uncomfortable and cause self-consciousness, leading to endless hours of adjustments.
Camel toe may now be camel no. A woman shares her best trick to defeat cameltoe once and for all. Sophia Edmunds, 22, a Kent State University in Ohio studying fashion merchandising, has taken TikTok to new heights after sharing her secret to wearing spandex without showing the world her body.

Edmunds began her video with the following: “I have an PSA for all girls that don’t want to wear cameltoe in their biker briefs or leggings.” The video has been viewed over 6.5 million times. Since I was a professional dancer for 15+ years, I wore the spandex and Nike Pros, the leggings, the biker briefs, and the leggings.
Edmunds says that camouflaging your camel toe involves taking an old pad out of a bra cup and making it triangular.
She explained that the triangle shape would fit your insert for your thong or underwear.
You can stick it in, work out, walk, or go about your daily life. Once you’re done with it, I throw mine in the washing machine. Mine has been with me for many years. It can be reused, so you don’t need to put a panty lining. Trust me; I have tried it – it was very uncomfortable.”
She explained that the bra pad is very comfortable because it has a bit of a scoop at its bottom. It also gives you a straight line between your legs. Please try this or tell us if you have done it before.
Edmunds recorded a follow-up video to illustrate the concept. In it, she demonstrated how to insert padding. First, she turns an underwear pair upside down and points out the gusset. This is the lining that is sewn into the underwear’s crotch. It looks like a small pocket.
“What you are going to do is flip your underwear upside down. Some underwear comes with a lining – that extra fabric – while others don’t. She said that if you don’t have it, the insert won’t fit.
You will take your underwear and the little triangle inserts and place them there. You may need to gently wiggle your underwear, depending on its style.
You can turn it upside down, and it will fit in the area. The support will be there. Others have raised hygiene concerns, and I fully agree. You shouldn’t wear the same insert for more than 12 hours a day, five days a week. This should only be worn when it is necessary.
The hack is a big hit with converts. Many of them confirmed that the padded insert worked a treat in fixing fashion faux pas.
One shared: “I saw this at 5am, tried it out at 8am, and confirmed at 11am that it works.” You are an angel!
